Breaking the Soda Addiction
I think it is safe to say that I have successfully broken my addiction to pop! Anyone who knows me knows that since high school I’ve been having more than a bottle of pop a day. And not the normal bottles, the 6-pack ones that are at least 700mL. I came to terms with how horrible it was for me long ago, but finally I got to the point where having it just makes me feel sick now. It has now been about 3 weeks and I’ve only had maybe a can per week.
My alternative is now Lipton Green Tea To Go, which is basically a cheap clone of Crystal Light. Water is great for you, and it’s amazing how much more tolerable it can be with a little flavoring. It’s also a lot cheaper. I got a box of 10 packets that would flavour one 500mL bottle of water each for $2.49.
If you’re not convinced to break your addiction, this article will scare you into breaking it by telling you exactly how pop is destroying your body.
