Rogers unveils their 3.5G Network
The recent 3.5G upgrade to the Rogers network can reach download speeds of 7.2Mbps. That’s faster than my DSL internet at home (5 Mbps) and it is through a cell phone tower! It’s pretty amazing, and there’s no doubt that the future of internet will be wireless, just like your cell phone. That kind of speed could also handle HDTV streams down the road, should TV decide to go wireless as well. Unfortunately only a few devices can take advantage of this right now, view the press release for all the details. Fido customers will also benefit from this upgrade.
