My first somewhat artsy video! A little experiment I did the other night while reviewing for my computer architecture exam. Music is “There’s never enough time” by The Postal Service.

Everything’s amazing, nobody’s happy. I whole-heartedly agree. By no means am I completely innocent from this, but in general we are in a generation of whiners and complainers. What hit home with me the most was the guy on the airplane complaining “This is bullsh**.”about the lack of on-flight wi-fi. I hear those kind of responses all the time to the smallest of issues and I just want to tell people to relax, it’s not the end of the world! Similarly, it seems everyone is actually seeking for things to criticize, or eagerly anticipating someone’s screw-up so they can point it out and rub it in their faces. This is a great world we have. Let’s just try to enjoy it as much as possible and help each other do the same. Shift from focusing on the negative to the positive, you’ll be a lot happier!

• Novice drivers will be required to spend more time in the G1 and G2 levels, with a minimum of 30 months before being able to earn a full G licence.-During the first year in G2 class, drivers are restricted to one passenger aged 19 or under, with exemptions for family members. (This restriction previously applied only to driving at night.)
• Sanctions introduced that get tougher each time a novice driver violates graduated licensing restrictions, receives a conviction that results in demerit points, or a receives a court-ordered suspension.
• Drivers aged 21, in all licence classes, required to have a zero blood alcohol level behind the wheel.
• Police given the power to immediately impound for seven days vehicles of people driving while under suspension.
• Police given the power to immediately impound for seven days vehicles being driven by convicted impaired drivers who do not have a court-ordered ignition interlock installed.

I just can’t stop watching this! This little hamster doesn’t have a care in the world, just as long as he keeps eating his popcorn. And the song to go along with it just makes it that much better.

This sign was so ridiculous I had to take a picture of it. Obviously meant to mimic the crane games where you can play until you win… well, you’ll win every time on this one too… as long as you actually win every time!

My alternative is now Lipton Green Tea To Go, which is basically a cheap clone of Crystal Light. Water is great for you, and it’s amazing how much more tolerable it can be with a little flavoring. It’s also a lot cheaper. I got a box of 10 packets that would flavour one 500mL bottle of water each for $2.49.

There are no young and beautiful baristas, no artsy customers with their thick rimmed glasses and scarves, no artwork hung around the coffee shop, no relaxing music, no lounging atmosphere, and no cups with inspirational quotes on them.

Having an old lady with a hairnet and ugly uniform squint at her Starbucks recipe sheet and serve you your drink in a school cafeteria makes you realize how little the Starbucks experience actually has to do with the coffee.

This is, in complete honesty, the funniest thing I have ever seen in my life. I cried laughing the first few times I saw it. It’s stupid humor, and it is genius.
